Being an Ophidian ritual of grounding, banishment and alignment to Spirit for the Three Realms, to be used daily or as a preparation for other works of Heka.



The Alignment with the Great Liberating Mother

Stand in the center of your Shrine.

If needed, yell forcefully and with all of your might to all and everything around you:

Apo Pantos Kakodaimonos!

Pronounced Ah-po Pahn-tohs Kah-koh-die-moh-nos . This is Greek for “Begone from me, all evil spirits!” You may wish to sweep your hand out in front of you, as if forcefully knocking down all opposition.

Then proclaim to all who are present and all the Gods:

Great Mother of All Mothers, Sacred Grandmother of all that breathes - O Nuit! It is I, (name of dedication), a true servant of your Mighty Daughter of Fortitude. I call to Thee, as (Son or Daughter) of Gaia. I have established my Dominion, and I am Justified. I stand before you, a Warrior in the Army of Ra Hoor Khuit. Lend me your Fortitude and Providence, as I stand at the Point and establish the Wards of this your Sacred Circle.

Now close your eyes and Ground yourself as you have been taught. Then with your feet firmly upon our Mother Gaia, feel your connection to Her. Breathe deeply and relax as you Will. When you are ready, expand your Anima up and out of your current place. Utilize your breath, Will and consciousness in rhythmic undulations to propel you as you go. In this way, growing larger and larger, expanding your Anima, continue to journey up past the clouds, atmosphere, moon, planets, stars, galaxies and finally the universe itself. Travel even unto the Infinite Ends of Space, to the Blackness of Nuit Herself. This may take many minutes. Do not rush this. Take as much time as you need. Upon finding yourself there, innocent and naked before the Mother of All Mothers, continue with the following.

Trace a circle in the Infinite Black high above your head, and then pull it down from the center of that circle to your forehead saying with reverence: Nuit.

Feel Her energy, the Source of Life, fill your head and consciousness with blinding and dizzying white light of Spirit.

Now pull that white energy of spirit down with your hand to the genitals, and say with reverence: O Gaia.

Let it fill you there, and then continue down your body into Gaia Herself. You are now the conduit for the energy from Nuit all the way down to Gaia, Her Little Sister, Her Manifestation upon which we live.

Now that this connection is established, become a Guardian for this life-energy of the universe as it manifests here on Gaia. Having aligned yourself properly, you are Justified in its use. Purposefully pull the energy with your hand back up the middle of your body to your chest, and then over to your right shoulder, saying forcefully when you are there: Thelema!

Then pull the light and energy across to your left shoulder, saying forcefully: and Agape!

Then finally clasp your left hand around the fist of your right hand at the center of your chest. Feel and see the light of your Spirit come forth to join with the light of all creation. Let it swell and then finally burst forth from you as Guardian, Daughter or Son of Gaia. Let it fill the room and continue out to the edges of the Universe so that all may be aware of your Guardianship. While doing so invoke and intone in your heart and out loud with every last ounce of your being the name of the Guardian of all Life: Babalon!

The Alignment is now complete.


The Banishing of the Quarters

The Guardian now moves counter-clockwise to the East edge of the circle and traces an Ophidian Banishing Pentagram of Air. Deep-Breathe down to the center of Gaia, and when ready Serpent-Strike (see blow) to the ends of the East at the center of your Pentagram with a great thrust of Spirit, crying forth: Ra Hoor Khuit!

Continue to the North, tracing a white line of spirit-energy for your circle as you go. Act as before, but with Ophidian Banishing Pentagram of Earth, saying with meaningful reverence so all beings to the North are alerted to what you are doing: Nuit.

Continue to the West, tracing a white line of spirit-energy for your circle as you go. Act as before, but with Ophidian Banishing Pentagram of Water, whispering with dedication and longing to the ends of the West: Babalon!

Continue to the South, tracing a white line of spirit-energy for your circle as you go. Act as before, but with Ophidian Banishing Pentagram of Fire, crying forth with the bellowing depths of your being to the South: Hadit!

Return to the East where you began, tracing a white line of spirit-energy for your circle so as to complete it. Then return to the center, facing East. Call forth to all seven directions with an endless chain of AbraHadAbra seven times. (East, North, West, South, Downward, Inward, Upward - Abrahad-abrahad-abrahad-abrahad-abrahad-abrahad-abrahadabra is the chain until “Had” is said seven times.) Fully extend your arms out to each of the directions as you do so.

The Banishing is now complete.


The Warding of the Quarters

Let the Guardian continue to face East, and envision the coming presence of each of the Archangels as you call to them to come down from the Caelestial Realms to aid you to guard the Quarters in your Circle.

Mighty Angels, messengers, teachers and guardians, I have been made Justified by my Spirit, and so I call to you to lend your aid to me here in this Circle.

On the Eastern Winds comes wise Raphael

On the Western Waters comes mighty Gabriel

On the Southern Fires comes unconquered Michael

And from the Northern Lands comes bright Auriel

Vibrate and intone the name of each Archangel, after calling them forth meaningfully with the words. Reach out to them with your hands, and see them standing there, even if you feel they are not. Then say:

The Way through the Elements has been Opened. For I stand as Guardian in this Circle, feet firmly upon Gaia, warded by the Stars and the Angels, my Spirit present and ready - so that I may do my Will amongst the living.

In Nomine Babalon et Vox Sanctae Meretricis.

Say the last while performing the Gesture of Seeing, which is the hands up and out in front of ones face, slightly to either side of it, palms facing towards the face. End with the Sign of Silence, which is the index finger pressed firmly to the lips, as if hushing someone.

Formulating the Pentagram and the Elements, after the Ophidian Manner

Please note that this manner of making the Pentagrams is different than what is commonly practiced by the masses, which was inherited from the peculiarities of the Golden Dawn.

To invoke the Element, reach out with your arm fully extended in front of you to the Element in question on the star, and then trace around the Pentagram in a clockwise direction until you return to where you started. Do this with determined force, and to the full extent of your reach (make it big).

To banish, do the same, but travel around the Pentagram in a counter-clockwise direction.

Serpent-Strike

Hold your hands closed, and bring them up to either side of your head while breathing in deeply. As you do this, feel and see the energy of the Pentagram flow into you, down your body, and into Gaia. When you have breathed in fully, and the energy hits the earth, strike out hard and fast with your hands in front of you, through the center of the pentagram while you say the name of the quarter (Therion, Babalon etc.). Step forward with your left foot as you do this. Strike fast like a serpent, and see the pentagram glow with your energy, and then see the energy continue on to the ends of the universe in that direction, awakening all things to your presence. Complete the motion with the Sign of Silence, your index finger pressed firmly against your lips.
